Ajster Won at Pannonia!
Two guys made the Final day of MMBF & Hungarian PGA by CzechOne dramatic - Czech Ondřej Lieser and Slovenian Ajster. While Lieser started with the attitude: "There is nothing to loose", Ajster was under the pressure of the last flight and under the biggest sun. Almost the whole day their names were pretty close or tied at the leaderboard. Finally Ajster was lucky.
Lieser brought the "clean" scoredard into scoring area with 2 birdies and 1 eagle on first nine and three more birdies in the other one. Scoring -7 was what his fans were used to. Lieser commented: "I did not promise to myself anything. We just came for a trip with my caddy. We slept in a tent next to the course. The first day was my bad golf of last months - no fun. But today it was completely different. I enjoyed the golf. Even though I had only 12 clubs in my bag and despite my one-hand putting I simply scored. I did not think about my mistakes, I just played flag-to-flag golf. And it worked!"
Winner Ajster his today's experience commented after a short cooling in a clubhouse: I started really bad today. +3 after 3 holes is a disaster! Soon I was tied with Austrian Wimmer while we started with a gap of 5 strokes. Today a faced even a bad luck - I hit the flag on 15 for example which meant double-bogie. It is hard to go in a last flight and today it was even harder due to hot weather. I would prefer to start at 8, not at almost 11."
Tied 3rd finished Czech Aleš Kořínek, Austrian Nikolaus Wimmer (-3). The best Hungarian player was Benjamin Palanszki at 5th position. The best amateur player was German Alexander Simmes (6th place).
There were 46 players of 8 countries registered in MMBF & Hungarian PGA by CzechOne. There were some thunderstorms close to the venue but the game was not stopped. Prize-money fund attained Eur 15 thousand and promoting company CzechOne distributed 10 cards for Lotos Polish Open of ProGolfTour series.
Next event of CzechOne is 2-day tournament held July 4th - 5th on Ypsilonka Golf Course - fourball & foursome competition of twins.
