Marek Siakala Wins at Ypsilon CzechOne
Tough weather tested 60 players during th Final day of Ypsilon CzechOne Tournament. At the end, merely 9 holes were played and the overall winner was Marek Siakala (-3). T2 - Milan Vantuch, Marek Nový and Austrian Bejnamin Weilguni.
Just after an arrival to Ypsilon Golf Course it was clear, players will not start at 9 due to snow lying on the course. At the end first 9 holes was decided to be played since 13,30. The last flight lead by leader after Day 1 Lukáš Tintěra launched at 17,00.
Winner Marek Siakala commented: "I played well today, I regret the same conditions weren't present since the very morning. Key decision was not to push myself up, just play against par and do not follow others. Also my caddy helped me much. I am happy I gained the card for ProGolfTour and next week I will try to make my best here!"
The best amateur player was Vítek Novák of Karlovy Vary and the best foreign player was Benjamin Weilguni.
Ypsilon CzechOne tournament presented prize-money fund amounting CZK 400.000 incl. food&accommodation packages and cards for successful qualifiers.
ProGolfTour tournament will be held at Ypsilonka GC May 4th - 6th. Then promoting company Česká 1 will start working on Slavkov / Austerlitz tournament May 14th - 18th.
