Lieser Wins at Prague Golf Masters 2016
During the last day of Prague Golf Masters 2016 gave Ondrej Lieser no chance to others and won by 9. 2nd place gained Scottish Chris Robb and T3 were Czech Jan Cafourek & Petr Gál.
Ondrej Lieser admitted, such gap brought some nervousity. He tried to play in a conservative mode, make the attacks at the same places like the day before and control his competitors. Ondrej commented: "I knew, if my head works normally, no one can reach me. I should play my golf. Nevertheless I played my worst golf here. The basis for my succes was put not on the "record" day, but during the first day."
Chris Robb (UK), holding 2nd place, commented: "I played well, I was able to avoid troubles. The only difficulty came at 5th hole, but I got out of problems which made me calm. I could even score several times. Ondrej was too far from all of us, it did not make any sense to try to beat him. It was better to focus on gaining the 2nd place. Tournament was well prepared, so was the Course. I am in my preparation for Q-School, this is the best way how to prepare. There was an excellent competition, I had to make my best to get to the podium"
Only 6 players scored bellow the par after 3 days. Prize-money were CZK 1.000.000,- (eur 37 thousand), of which the winner got CZK 200.000,-. Tournament was the Finals of CzechOne Tour 2016, winner of overall Order of Merit of CzechOne Tour was Ondrej Lieser.
