Kořínek Won at Ypsilon - Again!

From 2nd hole there were no doubts, Aleš Kořínek likes Ypsilon Golf Course and vice versa! Last year Kořínek gained his first points in the world ranking and today he dominated Oaza Distribuce II Trophy by Atomic Drinks scoring -6. T2 were local Ondřej Lieser and Austrian Fabian Winkler (-4).

Event held by promoting company CzechOne (Česká 1) were played as a qualifying tournament of ProGolfTour tournament, held since May 11th at Ypsilon GC under the name EXTEC Trophy 2018 by Atomic Drinks. Long time Ondřej Lieser was at top position at the leaderboard, but his -4 was not enough for Kořínek today. Aleš scored 5 birdies as well as eagle on 8th, he faced only one bogey, at par-3 hole nr. 4. Kořínek said: "I played well today. I approached badly at 1st hole, saving par with long putt. But at 2nd hole I approached half meter from the flag and kept my rhytm afterwards. I played well from tees, I could rely on my 2nd hits. Three times in a row I approached within half-meter from the flag. On 8th hole I took some risk hitting fairway of 5, but I approached 2 metres from flag (across the forest) and scored the putt.... and what about my weekend plans? Obviously, I would like to play similar way. Last year I have finished 4th here, that would be nice to repeat it..."

Three-day ProGolfTour event is going to start at Ypsilon (www.ygolf.cz) Friday, May 11th having almost 160 players. Prize-money fund is Eur 30.000.
