Karlovy Vary & Sokolov – Amateur Zwirner in Lead

First day of EXTEC CzechOne Open by Atomic Drinks showed the difference between two courses - Karlovy Vary and Sokolov, where this special event of ProGolfTour is held. Only 2 guys out of leading 16 played at Karlovy Vary!

Czech Ondřej Lieser keeps his hopes for 2020 Challenge card.

Amateur player Timothy Zwirner of Austia scored 65 at Sokolov, 6 under par (7 birdies & one bogey at par 4 hole Nr. 6 around water). This enables him to lead EXTEC CzechOne Open event. Ondrej Lieser holds 2nd position tied with Belgian Thibaut Leys.

Another Czech players played well - Jan Cafourek and Jakub Pokorný (both -3), Tadeáš Sedláček and Marek Siakala scored par. In cut are still Aleš Kořínek, Šimon Zach and amateur Adam Balatka.

Hurley Long, leading player of Pro Golf Tour Order of Merit played par at Karlovy Vary which is comfortable position for making cut.

Spectators were interesed in Tim Gornik's game because he holds Course record in Karlovy Vary since 2013. Nevertheless Gornik scored +8 and cut seems to be too far for him.

 Tournament is held on two venues, field of 127 players is divided into two groups playing at Karlovy Vary & Sokolov GC. Final day is Sunday, played at Karlovy Vary which seems to be tougher course. After EXTEC CzechOne Open there is only Final of PGT held. 5 best players in OoM will get ther Challenge tour cards afterwards.
