HANT Trophy Skalica (SVK) - Day 1
This year the Czech PGA Tour already has obviously miserable weather prepaid. Today's the first day of the tournament in the Slovak Skalica was accompanied by rain alternated with showers. Despite, more players than last week's Kaskada, scored even par or better. The best number (70 , -2 ) was brought by Slovak Peter Švajlen that commented his performance: "After the drive, I could always attack the flag, I never got into trouble. The goal for the next days is to repeat today's performance. I'm happy not to fight myself but the Course" sympathic Slovak said. Same performance achieved even Dutchman Sven Maurits.
Wildest scorecard was brought to the clubhouse by Ondřej Lieser. From Eagle on the 15th hole over two birdies to two bogeys and one double - bogey. Even par total tied him at 8th place.
A decent golf, at least in the first nine, showing continually improving Roman Šebrle. He usually reached greens in regulation, he tried to attack on most holes, but the traditional problem turned out: putting at a speed of 8.5 resulted in many balls too short. The other nine was already a bit complicated, so the total number today is 79 meaning 44th place with the cut by one shot.
Tournament continues tomorrow with the second day, with cut of the top 40 players for Tuesday's final.
Prize money is CZK 500.000,- i. e. Eur 18.500,-
